Welcome to Daisy Training

Daisy Training have been supporting students in Higher Education since 2011. We provide Non-Medical Helper support for students in receipt of Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA) in England, Wales and Scotland. We respond to students and assessors the same day and allocate support workers promptly.

DSA Assessors can contact us to discuss NMH support and our DSA rates which are available here.

Our current NMH rates for all DSA funded support are here: Daisy Training NMH Rates Table v11 15_03_2024

We have current availability for Mentoring (MH, ASC), Study Skills (SpLD’s, ASC), AT Training, Specialist Support Professionals, Study Assistants and Electronic Notetakers in most regions of England and across England, Wales and Scotland remotely – updated January 7th 2022.

We pride ourselves on our excellent quality service and our ethical and honest approach. We began with close links to  HEI’s in the South West, but we have expanded to support students throughout England and Wales and more recently, Scotland.  Our Consultants have extensive experience supporting students at HEI’s, many of them have been with us since the start and most have 10+ years of service. We have enormous respect for our support workers, who receive excellent feedback from the students they support, which is reflected in the grades students achieve once supported.

“Daisy Training are always quick to set up any student support. Any changes to support arrangements are also communicated to the student and the college effectively.” HE Student Support, Truro and Penwith College, Cornwall.

Our support workers tailor their support to individual needs according to the recommendations in the Needs Assessment Report and within the spirit of the DSA. We support students face to face on campus and in their own homes and remotely via Video calling. We provide support from band 1 – 4 and are accredited and registered with DfE.

“I just wanted to say thank you for organising my training.  My support worker is really really helping me and such a lovely lady too, actually she is a Godsend.  She really understands me and is really supportive, I really look forward to our sessions, and I really appreciate it. I have also enjoyed the sessions with my AT Trainer, he’s really helped me with the Apps on the computer, and I have already started using the mind maps.” HEI student with sensory impairment, Feb 2021
