Fair Pay and Real Living Wage Policy

Fair Pay and Real Living Wage Policy

Daisy Training Fair Pay and Real Living Wage Policy

Daisy Training is a provider of Non-Medical Helper (NMH) support services under the Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA) scheme. We work exclusively with self-employed contractors to deliver support to disabled students in higher education.

We are committed to fair and ethical pay practices. Although we do not employ staff on PAYE, we recognise the importance of fair remuneration for the self-employed professionals who deliver our services.

Our position:

  • We support the principle of the Real Living Wage as calculated by the Living Wage Foundation (currently £12.60 per hour UK-wide and £13.85 in London – rates as at 2025/2026).
  • When agreeing rates with self-employed contractors, we pay fair and competitive fees that reflect the value of the skilled work provided and the cost of living.
  • We review contractor rates periodically to ensure they remain reasonable and sustainable.
  • We encourage our self-employed contractors to consider the Real Living Wage when setting their own personal financial goals and business practices.
  • None of our support workers currently engaged with students receive less than £30/hour

This policy is reviewed annually.
